Knowing Jesus. What could be more important than knowing Jesus?
It's the most important relationship during our lifetimes, and it will be the most important relationship (or lack thereof) at the moment of our passing from this world. All 6th-12th grade students are experiencing an exciting, transformational stage of life. They are forming their worldviews! And even though that will process will be a lifelong pursuit, these are the critical moments in which they are developing an understanding of their identity, beliefs, morality, social values and purpose.
On Sunday, April 23rd, the Spring Confirmation Class kicks off in Bradford Hall, from Noon-1:15 (lunch provided). In addition to the many other TCC SM program opportunities, this class is a safe and nurturing environment for students to pursue truth in a deeper and more intensive way. For students who already know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, this class is a small group setting for them to unpack the Christian faith, to address their doubts and questions, and to marvel at the grace of God.
For students who don't know Jesus, or much about Christianity, this class is a small group setting for them to unpack the Christian faith, to address their doubts and questions, and to marvel at the grace of God.
The class culminates in testimonies proclaiming faith and/or reflecting on what one has learned about Jesus and themselves. In being confirmed, students not only identify with Jesus, but also with the TCC community.
Parents, we encourage you to consider the cost of not encouraging your children to think hard about their faith and worldview. We would love to partner with you in that process through this Confirmation Class!
