Who is Jesus and why should it matter to me? What did He do for me? What does He ask of me? In the book of Mark we find Jesus as a teacher, miracle worker, Son of God and Son of Man, and the Servant of all. Against the backdrop of Jesus' submission to God as He faced death on a cross, Jesus’ disciples are encouraged to be faithful to Him even as they suffer. Mark’s Gospel is a call to discipleship—a call to follow the one true God as revealed in the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.
