December at TCC: An Invitation to Connect, Grow, and Serve

Everyone knows December is a busy time of year. From holiday office parties to children’s concerts and plays it seems like sometimes church is yet another thing on our everexpanding to-do list. We don’t want that at TCC. We want the Advent to be a time when we slow down and reflect, not speed up and rush. For that reason, we want you to feel like Advent is a time to deepen your relationship with Christ – not just run from one event to the next.

Here’s how you can connect, grow, and serve during this Advent season:

Connect: Many involved in LIFE groups gather for holiday parties to continue to deepen spiritual friendships within the church. Email to join a LIFE group.

Grow: Our Advent Evensong service launches December 6th. This 30-minute mid-week service is a way to re-center on God at the end of a busy day in the middle of a busy week. Email to get involved.

Serve: Our ministry partnerships with Bridge House, Open Table, and Salvation Army continue through Thanksgiving and Christmas. Email to get involved.

In light of all these awesome advent opportunities:

  • Our mid-week ministries slow down after Thanksgiving. Mom-to-Mom, Women’s Bible Study, Mom and Me all take breaks until the new year.
  • Kilburn’s Barn Living Nativity will not happen this year.

We will have our usual Christmas Eve services at 5p (family service) and 7p (candlelight communion service). Do take this time to invite a friend or neighbor to these special services! We hope that this Advent and Christmas season would be a season of resting and deepening your relationship with Jesus, no matter what else is going on.

What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
Yet what I can I give Him: give my heart.
