Children's Ministry

Children's Mission

TCC Children’s Ministry strives to be a loving, gospel-centered community where children grow in their faith journey by building friendships, knowing Christ and his Word, experiencing his transformative love and living in light of his truth.

Infants through Preschool

We are using the Simply Loved curriculum, developed by Group, to teach our little ones about God's love through His Word. Every week, we deliver the Gospel message focused on Jesus. Visit the Simply Loved curriculum webpage to learn more.

Elementary

We are using The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum to teach kids that the Bible is one story that points to Jesus Christ. Visit The Gospel Project for Kids webpage to learn more.

First Time Guests

  • When you arrive on a Sunday morning, please come to the Children’s Ministry desk adjacent to the main lobby.
  • Our team will help you complete a Children’s Ministry Registration Form. Children’s Ministry Online Registration.
  • Please join us with your child for our family-style worship.
  • You and your child can be escorted to your child’s classroom after the Passing of the Peace.

What happens when my child arrives on Sunday?

After being checked in at the welcome desk, children will begin the church service with their parents and then go to their rooms. When children arrive in their rooms, they will be welcomed by our warm and caring volunteers. Children of all ages will participate in age-appropriate, Bible-based activities connected to a Bible story lesson. Additionally, small groups pray together for one another.

The following safety policies and procedures are in place for the health and safety of your children.

  • Staff and Volunteers: Children’s ministry volunteers have gone through an application process, which consists of background checks, reference checks, and safety training. Please email Colleen Felz if you would like to volunteer.
  • Illness: In order to keep TCC a safe and healthy environment, we ask that you not bring children to church if:
  • your child has a fever (100.4 or higher)
  • your child is vomiting or has diarrhea within last 24 hours
  • you child has an unexplained rash
  • you child has lice. (**Children with lice must be treated and cleared by a public school nurse, or local health center before returning to church.**)
  • you child is not well enough to participate in Children's Ministry activities.
**Please follow state guidelines regarding flu and COVID.**
  • Evacuation: In the event that the church building needs to be evacuated, parents SHOULD NOT get their children from the Children’s Ministry area. Their small group leaders will escort all children to the designated area outside the church building.
