Children's Ministry

Children's Mission

Our Children Ministry seeks to foster a safe and nurturing environment where children develop spiritually and learn about Christian faith, values, and teachings through age-appropriate activities, Bible stories, songs, and crafts. Our children’s programming has three components: Children’s Church, Snacks with Shepherds, and Sunday School. Children's Church, formerly known as LTA, is a Sunday morning service for children that's designed to be a kid-friendly version of the main worship service and is led by pastors and teachers. On Sundays, children worship in the sanctuary with their parents and join Children’s Church at the passing of the peace. Immediately following Children’s Church, children enjoy Snacks with Shepherds where they build relationships with godly adults and other children while enjoying snacks, playing games, and praying together. This small group time is designed to encourage children in their relationship with God and to build an intergenerational Christian community. The last component of our children’s programming is Sunday School, at time for developing Biblical literacy skills, learning how to live out the Christian faith, and learning about global missionaries.

We are using The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum to teach kids from Infants through 5th grade that the Bible is one story that points to Jesus Christ. Visit The Gospel Project for Kids webpage to learn more.

What Happens on Sundays?

  • When you arrive on a Sunday morning, please come to the Children’s Ministry desk adjacent to the main lobby to check in your child.
  • If you are a newcomer, our team will help you complete a Children’s Ministry Registration Form. Children’s Ministry Online Registration.
  • Children join their parents for our family-style worship in the Sanctuary.
  • Children are dismissed at the Passing of the Peace and are greeted by Children's Ministry leaders in Phillips Hall.
  • K-5th grade children are escorted to Room 204 (upstairs), where they participate in Children's Church (see above).
  • Infants through Pre-K are escorted to Room 107 (downstairs), where they participate in Children's Church (see above).
  • We offer Snacks with Shepherds after the service during Coffee Hour.
  • Parents can pick up their kids from their respective classrooms either before snack, after snack, or after Sunday School.

The following safety policies and procedures are in place for the health and safety of your children.
